Biography
I offer psychotherapy to adults who are going through a difficult period in their life, who are experiencing emotional distress, or who want to live a more fulfilling life. The people I work with struggle with issues such as:
• depression and anxiety
• trauma and abuse
• interpersonal problems
• grief and bereavement
• life transitions
• acculturation and immigration issues
• spirituality and religious issues
• personal growth and dream work
I work mainly from the perspective of depth psychotherapy (psychodynamic and Jungian). In a safe, supportive place we pay attention to thoughts, feelings, actions, memories, images and dreams as a way to shed light on your current difficulties and to bring about healing and wholeness. Depending on your needs and on what suits you, I may also use a more structured approach to address problems and emotional difficulties.
I also specialize in working with people of a scientific or technical mind, with people from a strong spiritual or religious background who are looking for a place where their beliefs are respected, and with individuals and families who are struggling with the challenges of being in two cultures.
